The Holt Restaurant and Bar can be found on the main High Street through Honiton and promises a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

As one of the best places to eat in this beautiful market town, everything is produced from the open kitchen so there is always an extra buzz to eating here. Under the watchful eye of Head Chef Angus McCaig, menus changes every six to eight weeks and showcase a plethora of local suppliers.

With stints working for Pru Leith, Conran Restaurants and Saatchi & Saatchi, Angus ensures foodies are well catered for and the current Winter menu will be no exception. Starters include a Maple cured smoked pork tenderloin salad with chorizo and caramelised apples and main courses will comprise grilled venison sausages with garlic mash and a smoked haddock and saffron risotto with tiger prawns.

Whilst guests and drinkers relax downstairs on comfy sofas, upstairs there is a light and airy dining area that, in addition to the daily menu, also offers an enticing selection of tapas that well informed staff will happily talk you through. Front of House is diligently overseen by Joe McCaig, one of the three brothers involved in the family business. Live music and film screenings on selected nights ensure there is always something going on.
